XtraPay enables the consumer to voluntarily transfer an amount of 20 cents directly to the workers on the producing farm when purchasing a fruit from a developing and emerging country. The consumer makes the decision about a bonus payment directly at the supermarket checkout. The supermarket collects the XtraPay amounts and transfers them to the target country. The workers receive the collected bonus payments via mobile money in equal parts at the end of the month on their mobile phones.
